We selected the oak tree as the symbol of The David Michael Reid Foundation. The mature oak tree symbolizes strength and endurance, and the tree serves as a reminder that "mighty oaks from little acorns grow". We hope to assist and nurture youths on their journey from "little acorn" to "mighty oak," and we further hope that our organization can follow a similar trajectory, from an idea funded solely by monthly collections from Dave’s friends and family to a regional organization with a positive impact on the lives of many.
